Ben
Tabler grew up in a family that had an appreciation for music. Encouraged
to try a variety of instruments, Ben started by playing the trumpet
and piano, but soon added the saxophone to the list of instruments
that he played as a child. Unfortunately for those instruments,
in his early teen years Ben discovered the music of bands like the
Police, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Queen, and Rush, and the guitar soon
became his principal focus. During the mid-nineties Ben played in
various bands in and around Nashville before moving up to New York.
With influences ranging from Andy Summers to Terry Kath, and more
than a little Brian May and Jimmy Page, Ben tries to craft a sound
that is unique yet familiar within the context of Satisfaction Pony.
Besides music, Ben has a fondness for Vincent Price movies, Scooby
Doo [Ed. note: or is it the Scooby Snacks?],
SCUBA diving, and classic cars.
